EXPO 98 Lisbon Teleferico
The Lisbon Teleferico was built for the 1998 World Exposition as part of the Parque das Nacoaes waterfront revitalization development. Interestingly the 65 ft tall structure runs parallel to a flat landscape. While created for transporting tourists the system sets a precidence for the capabilities of low profile CPT systems in non-mountainous, urban environments.
On peak days the system carried up to 18,000 people.
This project was realized with project development by Tino Imhäuser as a part of Doppelmayer.
