Floriadebahn, The Netherlands
The Floriade is a popular horticultural show in the Netherlands.
In 2012, the Floriade was located in the eastern Dutch city of Venlo. A temporary gondola system was installed for the show as a means to allow visitors the opportunity to tour and view the gardens from a truly unique perspective.
The system is unique in that it travels over completely flat land with both stations located at ground level to provide 100% accessibility. The Floriadebahn demonstrates that cable transit solutions are effective transportation systems in all variety of topographical situations - not just mountains.
Tasks for this project included Station Planning, Tender Creation and Structural Analysis.
