Mariche Metrocable, Caracas, Venezuela

The Mariche Metrocable is the second public transportation cable transit system in the Venezuelan capital. It connects an outlying subway stop with the hillside neighbourhood of Mariche.

This system, however, is very different and challenging than the original Metrocable. It is the first known system in the world that implements both a local circulator and an express line. The express line, cuts travel times for riders by up to 33% and became operational since December 2012.

Tasks for this project included Technical Commissioning, System Testing and Operator Training.
