USA urban cable car study — Pre-Feasibility Transit Study

With many major American cities lacking the necessary population density to justify the expense of higher-order transit, our client imagined a cohesive, cross county transit network in the Southern United States as a means to facilitate movement throughout the area. Exploratory and advisory in nature, this study was influenced heavily by the client’s ambitious thinking and vision. The project involved intensive consultations between project promoters and manufacturers in order to find common ground between all parties and stakeholders. Recommendations included scaling-back the proposed network to something more manageable such that short-term “victories” could lead to long-term support for the network as a whole.
